Benard, thanks for your info.I think we have a match (maybe).
This is what I have (handed down)and there is a hand typed story of past. They have a hand written tree which I scanned in and the pictures of them I have posted on:

The hand written info states:
Ephraim Jeffries fathers was James Norman Jeffries and his mother was Martha Starcher, the daughter of John Starcher (or Statzer) and Jane Radcliff, In January (1800) John Starcher was a new landowner on Jesse Hughes Run, a branch of Hackers Creek, and thus was one of the early settlers of Lewis County, West Virginia. In his will-in 1825: "he wished all his personal property, equally divided among his heirs with the exception of the flax and woolen yarn which he wishes to be given to the children yet at home: Martha, Anna, Jacob, William, John, Stephen, Sarah, Susan, Nancy, and Jane. "
It has a hand written tree on the bottom and on another page showing John Starcher and Jane Radcliff, with Jane's father being William Radcliff and Deborah ?.On the second tree it has William's father and mother as being John Radcliff and Rachel Withers.
This might go on, but for some reason I am missing page 2.This is a account from A calendar year of stories from the past, handed down to us from James A Jeffries daughter.
According to your info, William Radcliff is the grandson of James and Mary Ratcliff. The Ratcliffs came to Philaephia in Oct. of 1685.
Is his wife the Deborah Hughes?Would his father then be Daniel Or his brother John who married ?(a Rachel Withers)? This is where I think my tree might have made a mistake. For one, the only Rachel Withers I can find was born in 1795, this would be completly wrong as Jane Radcliff would have been born in 1780's or 90's.Her father William would have to have been born in 1740's to 50's.That means his father would have to be born in 1710's era.
cont:you said
Jane Radcliff Starcher is the sister of my 3rd gt. grandmother Susannah Radcliff Stalnaker.
I do have that info of Jane having a sister named Susannah.
I also have heard that Daniel's father was Richard but the dates would not match where James with his father being Richard would match. It also looks like James had a brother John.?
The LDS has one that also has Richards father as being John Radcliff and Rachel? This may be our match.

I think our problem is a lot of records got destroyed in fire in Virginia around the 1700's.
