Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
John Radtke, or Radke, my grandfather, was born in Djapar-Turt in Crimea, Russia, in 1878, and emigrated to Chicago in 1904 to marry Anna Kopp. His father, Samuel, was born in 1851 in Russian Poland (or Congress Poland) along the Vistula River near Plock - in Kempe Glowinski - with his twin, Wilhelm; his mother, Anna Magdalena Birnbaum, was born in the Crimea in 1855. The twins father, Michael came from Germany somewhere, but their mother, Eva Flemke was also born in Kempe Glowinski in 1829. Any connections?
