Thanks for your quick reply, we believe my great-grandmother's name was Bertha, I also have an aunt Bertha and Emma. My grandmother told us about washing clothes in the Vistula River, whereabouts is Kempa Karolinska, my grandfather gave his hometown as Schlarsdorf, Russia, he and my grandmother Caroline came to the US from Hamburg in 1905 on the Graf Waldesee, we think he had relatives in Chicago, thought one might be named Julius.
