My Great, great grandmother was named Johanna Radke and was from Koenigsburg, according to Grandma. I have it that she married John August Schmidt, and they at least had my great grandmother, Magdalene Augusta T. Schmidt. I heard that Maggie Augusta had a twin, but the twin died as an infant or toddler. Grandma said that Maggie was born in Koenigsburg, in 1864 and came to the U.S.as an infant. Alternatively, I heard that Johanna was pregnant with the twins when they came to the U.S. The family settled in Milwaukee.
