I will do some more checking for you. I think that my great aunt (W.B.'s other daughter)in Ontario has been in touch with relatives in Scotland. I believe she even visited some cousins in Scotland in 1978. Walter Brodie had tow daughters and one son. One daughter (my great aunt) and son are still alive and well in Ontario.
Is your father's name Doug? If so I think he may have been in touch with my grandmother recently as well as my great aunt. It is her that you will want to get in touch with for more ancestry.
I live in Kimberley, B.C.
I just started getting into this genealogy so some of mine is a bit sketchy but I will let you know as I go along. I recently saw photocopies of birth certificates for Walter Brodie as well as his wife's (Jeannie Watt).
My dad says he remembers people speaking of Uncle Pete but he never met him.
