Steven thanks for the follow up on Elizabeth Ragin I don't know a lot but will share what I have. According to the information that I have is that Elizabeth was born in Ga. about 1805. She married Solomon Holcomb in Hambersham Co Ga. in 1823. There is conflict about Solomon and Elizabeth's marriage date. It says they were married in 1823 and I know this to be true becausse I have a copy of their marriage licensce. That is the same year that Julia was born. According to "Oral" Hollingshed family history it holds that Julia was 1/2 cherokee indian implying that Elizabeth was full blood cherokee. The conflict in dates might be explained by a "cherokee" marriage that ocurred a year or so before the offical "white" marriage. I received this information from a Wayne Garman from Arkansas. Julia was my ggreatgrandmother and I do know that she was of cherokee descent. How are you related to Elizabeth Ragin and I would appreciate any information you could share with me. Thanks Pat Gray
