Yes, you are right, that's where I had seen a Richard Harvin. Notes I made indicate this family:

WILLIAM RAGAN (d.1787) & LUCEY ---
had the following children (with their spouses):

ELIZABETH RAGAN & Edward Broughton
JEMIMA RAGAN (1757-1816) & William Griffin (d.1816)
SARAH RAGAN (b.1752) & William Sanders
FRANCES RAGAN (b.1755) & Richard Harvin (1746-1807)

I didn't know anything else about the background of the Harvins or that they were old acquaintances of the Ragans. I made these notes as an aid to research in librares and didn't include the sources here but I got it from some book and, as you say, it is all a bit sketchy.
By the way, I presume the name is Ragin.
Anyway, thanks again and let me know if you come across anything new.
