Helena Schultz Rahn was my grandmother. She married Gerhard Rahn after his wife had died in childbirth and left him with 10 motherless children. She and Gerhard had 5 more children, of which my father was one.

A group of relatives from my father's generation had annual reunions and updated a genealogy book each year. I have copies of that book, but it is no longer current. I am current only on those relatives who trace their roots back to Helena's "second" family. Of her five children (David, John, Henry, Susan and Isaac--name later changed to Gary), only Gary is still alive. He lives in Rome, Italy and is a wonderful source of historical information.

Helena's grandchildren and great-grandchildren from the second family of five had their first reunion in 2004 and are planning another for 2007.

If you would like more information, please let me know.
