Could this Ryan be Rahn?

This Ryan family (from Germany) was in Galveston, TX in 1850 as shown on the census with that spelling, "Ryan". There has to be other records for them some place!

M Ryan, nee unknown (1793-)
John Ryan
1828
Adam Ryan
1830
Elizabeth Ryan
1838 1899

I've looked in vain. Any help would be appreciated!
