What a wonderful story! I'd love to know more about it.
I'm also blocked at the ancestors of this family. Annie's father was Richard; Richard's father was Robert Rainford 1823-1906 Kirkham; Robert's father was (I believe) an innkeeper named Robert, born 1791 in Weston, Lanc who married Alice Swan of Kirkham.
I think they are connected to my family but I can't find the link.
