I posted this on the Rakes Family Gene...Forum:
Found in "Shawnee co.,KS Marriage Records and Index to Microfilm...Feb 1856-Dec1890 Vol 1" John TICE md Sarah Louisa RAKE 1866 Topeka,Shawnee co., KS. I believe Lousia was married before to a RAKE. I have been to the Rake graves near Stull, Douglas co.,KS. I am searching John and his next wife, Mrs Rebecca {HALLMARK}1CORDER 2TICE.
Perhaps some related member of the Rake family will have information on John before/after Louisa's death. I did no further research on RAKE family. Hope this helps someone here and perhaps someone can help me in my search for John and Rebecca. Please respond on this forum. Thank You, Frances
