Hi, Sounds like we are from the same Raley's. I have a picture of Rebecca that I gave to some cousins. They probably sent that to you. Chellsey was my gr. grandmother. She had three children who were Delia Clark Powell my grandmother, Gertrude who was the youngest of the three children. The other one was Arthur (Art). He died quite young maybe in his thirties. He stuck something in his leg and had infection when there was no antibotics. Aunt Gert and Art are buried at Round Top. Grandma Powell is buried at the Falkville cemetary. Grandma lived to be 99. She has been dead about thirteen years. She was a precious person. Their grandparents raised them (Rebecca and William). Grandma thought a great deal of her Uncle Tom Raley. I have heard her speak of him a lot. My mother is 94 and at Summerford nursing home at Falkville. There are only four of the Powell children living. There were ten. Uncle Sherman is in his late eighties and he is in the nursing home. Mary is about 76, Miles is about 73. Did you father remember Sherman Clark that Chell was married to. He went to the field to work one day and didn't come back when Grandma was a small child. He was suppose to have gone to Tn. and married another woman and had children by here. His sister told this to aunt Gert. He must have been something else. I have tried to find him and haven't come up with anything. He was still married to my Grandmother Chell GR> . They were such sweet people. I wish I could have had one oportunity to speak to him. LOL It wouldn't be good. My Grandma was bothered about this all of her 99 years. I think his first initial was D. Sherman Clark. His father was Jeff I think. He had a brother Joe and Samuel. Do you live in Morgan cty. I do. Did you say you have a book on the Raley's. I would like to buy one. Godd to hear from you. God Bless Frances
