Dear Frances:

Be glad to send you a copy of my little book on the Raleys.
It probably has some errors, but might be of interest to you. Maybe you could help me fill in some of the missing parts. I would like to find out more about Owen Raley, for instance. I have more information on his father and grandfather than on him. My cousin Mary has a nice portrait of William Raley, Chell's father. I have a small copy of it somewhere. I wonder if there are any photos of Owen Raley. I need your address to get the book to you. No charge for it, but if you have copies of pictures or other information you could send me, I would really appreciate it.

By the way, I knew Newton and Sherman Powell (distantly). Newton came out to our house once or twice to go hunting with my father. My mom said once she looked up and he was standing in the doorway. Just about scared her to death. Sherman used to have a big house on a mountain north of Hartselle on old Highway 31. I went to his house once.
My sister Janice married back into the Powell family. My dad was close to some of the Flowers boys. I remember Coyd Flowers. I raked hay and did some plowing for him when I was a boy.

My work address where I pick up most of my e-mails and mail is:

Houston Baptist University
7502 Fondren Rd.
Houston, TX 77074.

All the best. Your cousin, Harold
