Sam Raley (possibly Simon) abt 1818- 1860 Maryland

I'm seeking new clues about Sam Raley, born in Germany abt 1818, found in Allegany Co, MD in the 1850 census with wife Mary Ann Ruckle, born in Ireland and son William (my great grandfather), age 5, born in MD. The Ruckle family was part of the Palatine group.

Sam is found in the 1860 Maryland Mortality records and there is an estate for Simon Raley with widow Mary and administrator Henry Ruckle in the Allegany County Courthouse.

I hear that there were 3 Raley lines in Allegany Co, MD. All help is appreciated.

Beverly Railey Walter
