WIDOW, MARTHA A. RALEY m. WM. S. WILSON 1855 PONTOTOC CO MS

Looking for information on the above. It appears that Martha A Raley, a widow from Lawrence Co AL, married a William S Wilson in Pontotoc Co Ms in 1855. Info taken from MS Marriages Record.

In 1860 this family was in Chesterville, Pontotoc Co Ms with the following childre shown:

HH#1399
Wm S. Wilson born ca 1824 in TN. He was a clergyman.
Martha A " born ca 1822 in AL
Ellen born 1849 in MS
Mary A. Raily born 1841 AL (Surname spelling per census)

In 1870 they were still in Chesterville in #204:
Wm S. Wilson age 45, born TN
Martha Wilson age 47 born AL
Nancy E. age 19 born MS (is this Nancy "Ellen?"

This family moved to Dallas Co TX by 1880. Still in Dallas Co TX for the 1900 census.

Found a W. Raley family in Lawrence Co AL in 1850:
W. Raley age 46 (1804) SC
Martha A. age 27 (1823) Al
Sarah E. age 18 (1832) AL (did she m. Josiah Stovall?
John F. age 15 (1835) AL
Mary A. age 8 (1842) AL

Are these all the same family? If so, some of these children must have been from a W. Raley earlier marriage as the ages for some can't possibly be right to be Martha A's children. Is this W. Raley the one who died by 1850's leaving Martha A., widowed? The only family trees that I find for a William Raley born ca 1804 SC shows him married to a Mary "Polly" Owen. Did she die and then Martha married William? If so, when & where? What was her maiden name?

Really need help.

Paula
