Hi, Kevin

I know you posted this message some while ago, but I've just discovered my Ramplin(g) ancestory from Hadleigh in Suffolk.

William John KING b 19 Sept 1863, son of Henry King and Esther RAMPLING, in Hadleigh.

Henry King and Esther RAMPLING married on 16 June 1860, in Hadleigh (still to get copy of certificate, got this info from Familysearch).

Esther RAMPLIN christened 10 Dec 1840, Hadleigh, daughter of Charlotte RAMPLIN (No father's name).

There are obviously a lot of Ramplin(G)s in Hadleigh, so the rest is a bit of conjecture, as I have not yet been able to view the original parish records, and have only searched Familysearch, but:

Charlotte RAMPLIN christened 8 Nov 1821, dau of William RAMPLIN and Ann. William and Ann also had two sons, James Whittle RAMPLIN (26 Oct 1823) and William Starting RAMPLIN (19 Apr 1826).
William RAMPLIN married Ann WHITTLE on 30th Sept 1821. William may be the William RAMPLIN who was christened on 22 Aug 1802.

Are any of these connected to your line?
Esther RAMPLING is my husband's great great grandmother.

Helen Aird
