Hi Joseph,
If you are still intersted in "your" family tree,Here are a few things that you could check out.
If you do not have a birth cert for your father then go the Ancestry .com and check the BMD entries for Births of Joseph in 1925,this is a free index. If you find the registration it will give you the maiden name of you grandmother,this will then enable you to find a possible marriage for the pair,also on the Ancestry free index of marriages
