Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

L. William Derrow wrote an article on the origin of the American Derrows in the National Genealogical Quarterly, Vol. 77, No. 4 (December 1989). It states that on the same day they were married he was appointed guardian of his new wife, an orphaned heir to her father's estate. The record is probably in Rockingham county. The article gives a date of marriage of 15 March 1814.
Peter and Polly are my g.g. grandparents.
