I now have more accurate information re Elizabeth Ramsbottom. Although she did live in Manchester, she was born in Dukinfield Cheshire 1846/47 and during her husband's Navy career they spent several years in Dover, Kent, where at least three of their children were born (1876 - 1880). Perhaps this information will get me better results from my search.
