Geoffrey Ramsbottom-Isherwood
We are in New Zealand. Geoffrey is a descendant of Captain J C R Ramsbottom-Isherwood of the 69th Regiment of the British Army. He's the ackowledged founder of the Wellington Rugby Club in 1871... and a lounge bar has been named after him. Henry Guines Ramsbottom-Isherwood was a New Zealander who joined the RAF in 1930 had flown as a fighter and test pilot. He was chosen to deliver a unit of hurricanes to the Russian Air Force. At the end of the war Commander Ramsbottom-Isherwood received the Order of Lenin one of the Soviet Unions highest awards. Any further information regarding our family please contact us....
