From the information you have posted, it is difficult to know where and when your Grandpa GEorge existed.I can only speculate. The Rantizer family came from Germany before 1755 to Schoharie, NY.They became Loyalists. Some settled in Kingston; others in the Niagara area. The name was spelled many ways.Today there are two main spellings Ransier/Rancier.Most of the family is in Canada, but several lines returned to the states over the years. The Earliest immigrant was Andres Rantizer b. 1731.He had a son George b. 1752 at Schoharie who married Elisabeth Cun/Coon.They lived in the Niagara area at Clinton and Grimsby. He had few descendants. His younger brother Andrew b. 1768 in Schoharie married Christina Sagar.Little is known further, but in 1795 he was in Niagara area. You are much more likely to be a descendant of one of William's children, either William or George.George b. Kingston? 1809 married Jane Mulligan. In the 1871 census he was in Storrington, Ont.One known child, William who died in 1920.This George's brother was William b. 1797/98 and married in Kingston Louisa David. Both are buried in Seeley's Bay.Their son Andrew b. 1829 married Amelia Ward and d. 1862. You see we're getting buried in Georges and Andrews. Now the William that died in 1920 had a son George Luis b. 1858 married to Julia Ann Yon who d. 1942.He is buried at Langley Prairie, BC.Good luck on your hunt.
