dear lee, my g-father was a rapp ,he told his kids that his line came from alsace-loraine france it seems it went back and forth between germany and france for quite a while ,i read that on the history site under alsace-loraine france .never heard of boofzheim???i know there is still a hotel with the rapp name ,we are researching the name ,, i even e-mailed them nothing came back ... as far back as we have been able to get is my g-g-father thomas b. 1832 no other dates.did you hear that they had vineyards , he said they were confiscated by ( kieser wilhelm)i have no dates on that either , by the way our rapp's came to penna. montgomery co, please let me know if you find out anything. marie
