I believe I have a James H Rapp as my John E Rapp's father. Not sure. This is my info. John E Rapp b abt 1854 NY,NJ,Wisc. Census' are all different. On his death certif. it says b NY. It says his father was James H Rapp. And Anna G? On his marriage record it says his father is John Rapp and Susanna G? Looking at a Census in the area he was, there is a James H Rapp with Susanna. This is which I believe Susanna Garrabrant. They show up in a 1850 census in Bergen County, Hackensack twnsp. James in this census was 31 making him born abt. 1819 b. in NJ. There are a few Rapps in 1850 in the area you are speaking about.
