I am researching the geneology of my great grandfather, William Rapp, Sr. of Germany, who resided at 351 Davis Avenue, Greenwich, Ct. circa the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His birthdate is listed in the 1900 US Federal Census as about 1845, and in the 1870 US Federal Census as about 1852. Both censuses list him as residing in Fairfield County, Ct. In 1874 he married Margaret McCabe (b.1855? d.May 22, 1900), with whom he had four children: Mary Elizabeth Rapp (my maternal grandmother, b. Oct. 17, 1874, d. Nov. 22, 1936), William Rapp, Jr. (b. circa 1875, d.Feb. 21, 1913), John J. Rapp, and Louise (Rapp) Hynes. Any helpful information regarding this particular William Rapp will be greatly appreciated.
