Martha was the d/o Brice Byrne Raulston and Mildred Ann Wynne. On her maternal side, she was the granddaughter of Matthew Wynne and Nancy Beene. On her paternal side, she was the granddaughter of James J. Roulston and Jane Simmons.

The judge who married the couple might have been related to Martha, but he was not her grandfather.
