Rauscher Family Genealogy Forum

Seems very few posts lately. Maybe I can get a word from someone. My great grandfather, Joseph or Josef Rauscher was born in 1854 in Bohemia/Sudatenland. Josef’s father was Thomas Rauscher and mother was Marie Kinderman. Josef had a brother named Bartholomaus. Josef immigrated in 1892 through Ellis Island and spent a few years living in the Chicago area. They eventually ended up in the Chippewa Falls, WI area.
Josef was married twice. The first time to a woman whose name I do not know. This woman, his first wife, was probably died in Bohemia/Germany prior to 1892. They had two sons, Frank Xavier (my grandfather and easy to trace) and Joseph (this other son, very difficult to trace as he changed his last name to Richards as my uncle says that he was very sensitive to criticism of the Germans during World War II.) Not much later, he married his second wife, Mary Voitl or Foitl and had two daughters. I have been able to trace info on these two girls side of the family.
Do any of these names match those in your Rauscher family? Might anyone see a connection and know the name of the first wife to Joseph? Do any of you have a relative that changed his name to Richards? If you see anything familiar, holler. I seem to be stuck at this point. Be glad, also, of course, to help with your Rauschers if there is anyway I can.
