The 1850 Ohio census, Greene County, Beaver Creek Twp, family 126-126 has the family of Andrew Rousher and wife, Margaret, with a daughter named Catharine, age 10. Andrew is buried in Beaver Creek Twp under the name of Andrew Rauscher. Both were born in Bavaria. I know little about this family except for subsequent census records. I have been researching them because there is a possibility that Andrew may be a sibling of an ancestor who was known to be in that area in 1839 and who moved to Delaware County, Ohio. Since Catharine is listed as born in Ohio, Andrew and Margaret must have immigrated by that date. I have not found Andrew on the 1840 census. Catharine is age 21 on the 1860 census living with Andrew Rouser(sic) and Margaret in Beaver Creek Twp, family 738-762.
My ancestor spelled his surname Rausher.
