Kay--
I'm descended from William and Mazilla. They had a son named George who had a son named Henry who had a daughter named Susie who was my paternal grandmother. They migrated to Louisiana from South Carolina. It took them a long time, but you can see them in Noxube County Mississippi in 1850. My grandmother (b1892 d1992) told us they were heading west on a wagon train to California for the gold rush and when they reached Louisiana the swamp was flooded so they camped to wait for the water to go down. They liked it and homesteaded.
