Roger Rayburn of Family Tree DNA.Tell me they are 2 samples probably samples that connect toJoseph Rayburn (1748-1793) of Edgefield SC. Some of this family went to MS before 1816.
and another sample from"a member test their Y-DNA that thinks their line goes back to Thomas Rayburn and Rachel Adams". Some of this group ended up in Dickson TN.
These are the same family but there are a couple of mutation between them. That great for me since my group of Raborn seem to know both of these. My Tabitha Raborn Parker(1772-1756)could have easy been a cousin to both of these groups.
My group seems to include....
Joel Raborn, (b before 1770) ____
John Raborn, (b ~1767), has daughter Susannah (1795-1800) that married William Snell____ (To Wayne County and later Jasper county Mississippi)
Tabitha Raborn (1772-1856), married Aaron Parker (?1770-1833) ____ (Franklin County GA before 1802 and after 1813 in Mississippi)
Burwell Raborn (b1770-1780) ____ (Last record In Franklin County GA was 1810 when John Raborn paid tax for him, last time "B" paid was 1803, in MS by 1829)
James Raborn (b1777), married Sarah Cothern____ (Franklin County GA before 1802 and after 1813 in Mississippi)
Cornelius Raborn (~before 1790), married 1815 in Franklin County GA toRebecca Baxter ____ (In Mississippi by 1816)
Mark Raborn (b1790), married Rhoda Watts____, sold land belonging to John Raborn of Franklin County GA to James Rabourn Hailey. (In Mississippi by 1816)
____
