I have a booklet called "The Descendants of Edward Rayburn of Virginia" produced by Earle H. Morris of West Virginia. This work was published probably 40-50 years ago. I am not connected to this line but your inquiry sounded familiar so I looked in Mr. Morris' book and found some information on your family.
He writes:
Thomas (son fo James R., sone of James, som of Henry, son of Edward), was born 5/6/1848 in Mason County, Virginia. Married Sarah J. Gray on 12/30/1875 and he died 7/18/1890 in Point Pleasant. Sarah J. was born 3/4/1849 in Ireland, died 2/2/1932, a daughter of William and Jane Gray. There was six children, all born in Mason County, West Virginia.
Annie J. born 8/27/1876, married Owen V. Yeager on 10/19/1898.
Charles E. born 9/2/1878, married Della M. Kincade on 2/21/1903.
Claude C. born 12/7/1883, married Pearl B. Hood in Eglin, Illinois.
Ora, born 9/8/1886, married Jasper F. Roush on 8/20/1916.
Camden, born 1/7/1888, married Irene Deming on 8/4/1917 in Huron, South Dakota.
Curtis, born 6/22/1890, married Zelma Lee Gibbs on 10/6/1912 in Mason County, WV.
This publication has no further records past Thomas & Sarah's children which I have listed above.
