Paul, thanks for your very comprehensive post on Lily Rayner. You noted that her husband Charles Greatley Saunders had three children with his second wife, Edith Alice Grant.I'm interested in Edith but have not yet identified her children.Do you have any information on them?
I can provide a few more tidbits on Charles. He is listed with Edith in the 1911 Toronto census (misindexed Sandels on Ancestry). In this census he is shown with an occupation of "Veterinary" employed as "City Inspector."His immigration date is shown as 1887, possibly readable as 1897, but definitely not 1898 or 1899 [probably incorrect based on the 1898 marriage in England that you posted].Sometime after WW1 Charles and Edith moved from Canada to Cuckfield, Sussex. This is based on a delayed birth certificate for Edith made by Fred Walker Grant of Victoria, British Columbia on 21 Jun 1934? [year is partly obscured] stating that he was born 11 Dec 1868 and is the eldest half-brother of Edith Alice Grant, now Mrs Greatley Saunders of Cuckfield, Sussex, England.
