Alexander Rea: India 1900
My father's maternal grandfather was Alexander Rea, a Scot who went to India in the late 19th Century and achieved some distinction as Inspector of Ancient Monuments in South India (a search Alexander/ Rea/ India shows some of his books, recently reprinted in Delhi by the Arcaeological Survey of India). He died in India, circa 1920, we think in his 60s. We know nothing of his antecedents. Any clues?
