Dear Sue-Ellen:
This probably has nothing to do with your request, but thought I'd post it anyway.
My family comes from Brighton and goes back to 1842 when my Great-grandfather John Ready immigrated from Kilkenny County, Ireland. He had a farm on Bennett Street in Brighton, was one of the first parishoners of St. Columbkille's R.C. Church. Eventually G-grandfather John built a number of homes on Bennett Street for his offspring. My Grandfather Patrick had a home on Leicester Street where my father was born. If Betsy was Catholic she might have been christened in St. Columbkille's. These records can be found in the Diocese of Boston.
Don't know whether any Readys are still in Brighton, but if I can help, let me know.
Joseph L. Ready
