Hi Leslie, I am going to have to find out more about this from my Uncle in Pa. My Uncle Donald is the oldest living relative I have and he should have some info. All I know right now is that my grandmother was born Marion Ready in Lowell Ma sometime in the late 1800s, I know it was around 1898. There were 12 children born 2 sets of twins died in their first year. The ones I remember by name are Ernest, Francis, Annette, Ida, Sadie, Ambrose but I can find out more. The Ambrose Ready I knew of worked for the Lowell Fire Dept. He was the last sibling that had living when I was a small girl so he must have died in the late 50's maybe 1960. I am going to try to get this info, some of the things I should know but I guess I have forgotten. The part about junk dealer is interesting but doesn't ring a bell. I know about the Fire dept and for many years I had a picture of Ambrose in his uniform, I found it in one of my grandmothers photo albums, I'm not sure where it went. Stay in touch.
