Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I'm descended from John Ryan (born ca. 1807) and wife Julia, from County Mayo. Their son John Ryan (born ca. 1845) married Mary Ready (born. ca. 1843), also from County Mayo. John and Mary Ready Ryan emigrated at some unknown date to the US and settled in Dayton, Ohio (possibly living first in Cincinnati). The younger John Ryan was a City Marshal in Dayton, and also worked on the railroad.

Do we possibly have a link?

Amy Patterson
