Have since discovered that my grandfather Thomas Reames Wilcox parents were born in Yorkshire, England. His mother was Jemmina Reames born in 1831, she married George Ralph Wilcox. They emigrated to Canada just before the 1881 census in Canada. They apparently had 6 children before coming to Canada.Children were: Sophia born in 1859, Sophia m. Richard Parsons in July 1885.Sophia had a daughter Farrah born (1884).Richard & Sophia hadLevina(Lucy) who m. Ernest Castator. They also had children named Edgar, & Egerton. This family was born in Humbr Summit, York Twp, Ont. Canada.
George & Jemmina also had John, born in 1862. John m. Jessie ?.They had 3 children, their names were Marion, who m. Peter Allison, John (Jack & Earl.
This is where my grandfather comes in: George & Jemmina had Thomas Reames Wilcox, who m. Mary
Elizabeth Wood.Mary was born Apr. 11, 1871.Thomas
& Mary had 13 children, one of the 13 being my father Ernest Vernon Wilcox born on Apr. 2, 1897.Their other
children were:George, Edgar, John William & May (twins),Garnet, Beatrice, Eva, Muriel, Ethel, Gordon, Leslie. I can provide further information on this family if needed (feel free to contact me at [email protected]
My father Ernest Wilcox married Margaret Gertrude Curtis, and had 9 children, 2 girls, 7 boys.Their children were Margaret, Howard, Ronald, Thomas,
Vernon, June (myself), James, Clifford, & Ernest.
(Only 4 of these 9 are alive today, they are Vernon, June,
James & Clifford.
George & Ralph also has 3 other children, Mary, Sarah
Anne & George William. For some reason very little is known about these 3 children.
I would appreciate any information you can pass to me as well.Thank you.
