REEP Family Association

For those who do not know...there is a REEP Family Association. Address for info about the family association is as follows:

REEP Family Association
PO Box 113
Bladensburg, Maryland 20710

James W. Reep is the President. There was a family reunion back in 1995 in Butler Co, PA.

There are also several branches of the REEP Family Association.

1. Butler Co, PA Branch
2. Niles, Ohio Branch
3. North Carolina Branch
4. Ashland, Ohio Branch
5. Knox Co, Ohio Branch
6. North Dakato Group (non associated group)
7. Tioga Co, PA Group(non associated group)
8. Texas Group (non associated group)
9. Blair Co, PA Group (non associated group)
10. Holland Group (non associated group)
11. Canadian Group (non associated group)
12. New Jersey Group (non associated group)
13. English Group (non associated group)

1 through 5 are recognized, primary branches of the association.

6 through 13 are non associated groups of Reep Families, identified but insufficient members of the association to be a formal branch (5 required)

From what I remember at the last reunion ... they have not been able to make a connection to the PA, Ohio and NC branches.

The association was founded in 1973 and incorporated in 1987. The founder: Reynold F. Reep passed away before the last reunion in 1995.

Hope this info is helpful to all researching this surname. My sons are REEP descendants from Butler Co, PA. There line moved to Texas (Bryson, Jack Co and Amarillo, Potter Co.) They have also lived in Carlsbad, New Mexico but moved back to Amarillo. Will share my REEP with anyone interested.

And if you can get your lineage to Leonard Reep (born abt 1740/1744 and died in Sep 1827 in Fairview, Butler Co, PA, then you can become a member of the SAR/DAR. James Reep can help you with that.

Good luck in all your searches for your roots.

Ann
