Michael Reap - Mayo and Scranton 1841-1910

My gr grandfather, Michael Reap, emigrated from County Mayo (or Sligo) around 1861. He was born around 1841. He settled in Scranton, PA and married Mary Dougher, Daughter of John and Catherine Dougher. The Doughers had lived in Scranton since 1850, when it was still called Slocum Hollow.

I am trying to trace Michael back to Ireland and need help in finding my linkage.

I don't know of any siblings or other family members at this time. Michael was still alive and lived in Scarnton until around 1910. Mary Dougher Reap died in Scranton in 1901.

Need all the help I can get..

Kathryn Reap Goodman

P.S. I have assembled a fairly good data base of Reaps in Scranton during the 19th Century from City Directories and other sources..
