Corection to my earlier posting of the abstract of p.156 Bk D Wash Co Orpanns court.I said I had verified that abstract, which turns out to not be true. What I did do was photocopy pp.154,155 of Bk. D which I have now abstracted below:
Washington Co., PA Orphans Court Bk D, pp. 154, 155.(March Term, 1834)
Abstract:
Petition to Partition 106 acres in Fallowfield Twp., Washington Co., land of Leonard Everly, deceased.
Children of Leonard Everly (10 children listed)
Peter Everly
Leonard Everly
Catharine who married Samuel Kirkendall (now dead)
Mary (now dead)married Joseph Redd(4 children)
James, Adam, Elizabeth, Sally
(all minors) (Samuel Hill appointed
guardian)
Joseph Everly (now dead)(7 children)
Loisa Ann, Maria, (last 5 are minors)
Sarah, Joseph, Leonard, Elizabeth,
Susan
Jacob
Elizabeth married Jacob Ihrig
Ann married James Parsons
Barbara married Henry Smith
Sarah married Stephen Luce
I don't know the source of the earlier abstract of P.156, but it does give additional information about the location of the orphaned children of Joseph Everly. The only thing that doesn't add up right is the indication in the p.156 abstract that Susan was the w/o Samuel Lesher -- can't be true. If Samuel Lesher was the guardian of Joseph's children, as you,Charlotte, have indicated, then it was probably just some kind of transcribing error that said "w/o" when it should have said "ward of" or "stepchild of" or something.
