I tried to send you a message but didn't hear back, don't know why. Most of the time when people send me something and can't get through is because they miss the 3 d's, it is d r e d d d x 6 6 @ i j . n e t ( no spaces ). Try that! Any way, I have a copy of the will of Andrew Redd dated July 21, 1818 and it shows that he had 12 living children; James, Susan, Hannah, Ann, Jacob, Andrew Jr., Nathaniel, Rachel, Elizabeth, Abner, and two grandsons, William Redd and Ephraim Painter.
Marriage records show that John Painter married a Rachel Redd in 1798 in Frederick Co., Va. and that they had 5 children; Lawrence 1799, Washington 1800, Jacob 1801, Ephraim 1804, Andrew 1804. A Rachel Redd Painter was brought up before the Women's Metting of the Hopewell Friends in April of 1808 for marring out. Marriage records then show John Painter then marring a Rachel Redd on June 2, 1808 ( Why would he have married the same Rachel twice?)
The reason I'm thinking that the first Rachel was divorced was because that she and her son were written into Andrew will. Also census records for 1810 of Andrew show that there was a male child under the age of 10 living there.
I show that JAcob Painter married Ann Nichols in 1833 and that they had 6 children; Sarah 1842, Melisa 1844, John D. 1847, George W. 1849, Lucreta 1851, and Aretha 1853.
I would be interested in the photos that you have, and would be willing to share any and all information that I have on Andrew ( Andreas Roth ) Redd and his wife Elizabeth Hollingsworth. Please try my email address again, and I'll try yours. Thanks and waiting to hear from you. Doug Redd
