I have not heard of any of my Redds working on the Reynolds Ranch - which I think was in Georgia. My Redds were in South Carolina from 1850 census to 1880 census - and ventured into Georgia only for short periods of time.
Some of their children were farmers and some of them worked in the mills.

I believe that John Redd b 1820 was related to Greenberry Redd b 1817 and Hansford Redd b 1827 - because they are in the same counties in several census.

There is probably a connection to your family if they were in South Carolina between 1820 - 1880 - but I do not know what it was.
