Missing Red/Redd Cheek
Posted by: Brenda (ID *****9605) Date: September 12, 2007 at 19:27:15

I am looking for Mary Red/Redd Cheek, 2nd wife of Wm. A. Montjoy, of Laurens Co., SC.

Mary came to her marriage to Wm. A. Montjoy, with a son, Thomas S. Cheek, born in 1862. His father is unknown.

Question: was Mary Red/Redd Cheek unmarried when she had Thomas or was her maiden name Red/Redd?

Mary had several more children with Wm. A. Montjoy. She & Mr. Montjoy lived around Scuffletown and Youngs, in Laurens County.

If anyone has heard a name like "Red Cheek", I can fill you in on what happened to her after she married Mr. Montjoy. Her son, Thomas Cheek, grew up and married a woman named Ella and had 2 daughters named Grace and Blanche.

thanks
