I am searching for the maiden name of Elizabeth b.ca.1814 SC md Willis Price. It has been suggested that Elizabeth may have been a Redd. Willis' (supposed) brother, Elisha Price b. 1813 SC md. Winnie Redd/Read. The 1850 Angelina Co. census shows Thomas Price b 1769 in household of Elisha Price. Elisha Price was in Texas prior to the Texas Revolution, as was Willis Price.
The Prices and Redd families were wittnesses to many documents in Angelina Co. TX. Was Elizabeth wife of Willis Price a sister to Ann Redd, wife of Ansel W. Redd b c 1815 in SC? The Ansel W. Redd family in Angelina Co. TX. 1850 had 11 children: Nancy, 18; Samuel, 16; Ansel,12; Simon, 10; Twins, William B. and William G. 8 (very strange to name both twins William, unless the census taker got confused) Pinkeny, 7; Meshach, 5 (Elisha & Winnie Price named a son Meshach) Denman,3; Elzada, 2 and Mary 2 months old.
On the 1850 Angelina Co. TX census there is listed a Mashack Red age 59, b. abt 1791 in SC. In that household was Nancy Red, age 57 and Marian Red age 23. If you know anything about the wife of Willis Price please let me know. My Sister has joined the Daughters of the Republic of Texas on the record of Willis Price and DAR on the Revolutionary War service of Thomas Price. Thank you so much. I have a deed of gift from Barnwell Co. SC, whereby Thomas Price gives for the love and affection to son Willis Price. Also Bible records showing Willis' father was Thomas and Sarah Price. Thank you so much cbh.
