Hi Shannon, My name is Gavin Roberson and I saw your post on Genforum about the Redd/Red family in Aiken and Barnwell, S.C. I am looking for information on John Redd and his wife Ocief that was in the Barnwell Co. S.C. area in the early 1800's. John and Ocief are my 4th Grt Grandparents. Their daughter Elizabeth Narcissa Redd/Red married my 3rd Grt Grandfather James Michael Kaney. What I am looking for is information on who John's parents were, where John was born and reared, and where is John buried at. It has been passed down by my Kaney side of the family that Ocief was Native American. I am searching for information on what tribe she descended from and when and where was she born and where is she buried at. Please, my family and I have been searching for information for some time and have been unable to find anything concrete. If you have any information on John and Ocief Redd, my family and I would be so grateful. Thank You, Gavin.
