Hi Joseph, David Redd's son, Isaac Alderman Redd, moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1867 after the Seminole Wars. He was also in the Civil War in a Florida regiment. He moved to Manatee County and founded the Bee Ridge Community and was a pastor at two churches in Sarasota. He is buried with his wife Elizabeth Elinor Brown at the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery in Sarasota. From what I have gathered he was born in Georgia but was living in Tallahassee when he was 11 years old according to the federal census of 1850. Isaac is my GGGG Grandfather on my father's side of the family. I'm still working on tracing the Redd family line. If you go the site www.sarasotahistoryalive.com and do a search on Isaac you can get a little more of his historical background.
Hope this helps (even a year later).
