This Isaac Miller could well have been father of my David, but have not been able to prove it. Certainly, with Deborah Zook's sister having married into that family is a great clue. It's just that the name Isaac was not use anywhere in my David's family. I'm still looking for more concrete evidence for Isaac being David's father.
The James Miller in Somerset Twp. could well have been a brother of my David (he was too young to be David's father). In fact, it appears that James may have gone to Nelson Co., Ky. at about the same time that my David did and then came back to Allegheny Co., Pa. Again, looking for proof of relationship.
We know that Peter Zook was in Antrim Twp. of now Franklin Co., Pa. from 1762-8. He then has interest in land in Millford Twp. in now Somerset Co., Pa. in 1774 however he doesn't show up on tax list until 1783. Was he actually in Somerset Co. all the time from 1769-82? Being a Brethren minister he may have been on the move. In fact, there was a Peter Sugh (there are many spellings of his name including this one) on 1778 petition in Lancaster Co., Pa. So, I really doubt he was in Somerset Co. for all that time frame.
I'm still looking for proof that the Nathaniel Redd who shows up in Frederick Co., Va. was the same person as the one in Washington Co., Pa. I have seen one account of the family of Andrew Redd family of Frederick Co., Va. that included a son named Nathaniel who went to Fairfield Co., Ohio with his brother George. Can you shed any light on this?
Have you looked into whether Nathaniel Redd might have been known as Roth/Rhodes in Franklin or Somerset Co., Pa.? I have not run across any Nathaniel Roth/Rhodes.
