New Redfearn book nearing completion
"The History of The Redfearn Family Revisited" is nearing completion. If you have any photos, or other information, you might like to have included please forward them as soon as possible to me at my new email address [email protected].
The book exceeds 600 pages in length and is completely written now - all that is left is the editing, proofing and addition of photos, maps and other materials as well as compiling the index.I am still on schedule though to complete it by the end of this year with the anticipation of having it printed during the 1st quarter of 2005.
This book includes over 7,700 members of the James Redfearn family who came out of Johnston, North Carolina. The book explores in great detail the early origins of James' line in Virginia/Maryland as well as in Northern England where the line likely originated from.It discusses the Redfearn's and their homestead's in both Anson & Randolph Counties in North Carolina in great depth.
The book discusses early records of all of James' children and grandchildren as well as the migration routes taken(illustrated with maps) by the first five generations.
In addition, this book will include two major indicies the first of which is a comprehensive U.S. Federal Census Index from 1790-1930 for all Redfearns (and over 100 variations of the spelling of this name) and the second being a Civil War Index listing all Redfearns that served during this period.
The book includes a section of interesting Redfearn family facts such as Notable Redfearns, the Top 25 Longest Lived Redfearns, the First Redfearn born in each state, the Top 25 most popular names, a Redfearn birthday index and a Redfearn Family Trivia section.
My intent is to make this a comprehensive reference for all Redfearn's dedicated to the memory of those who have gone before us as well as a resource for all Redfearn family researchers.
If you have any questions regarding this new book i would urge you to contact me.If you are interested in the book or know someone who might be please let me know as well.Thanks.
