A small point but I think significant. Someone on the "other" forum site (family history) has got the book and has been to Ireland and seen a memorial to "Sir Thomas Redington". IF this is the same Redington family as the Thomas from Hunsdon, the "Cromwellian" then they must have had a fairly cataclysmic religious conversion. Thomas came from a family of Congregationalists, I hope I dont offend anyone if I describe them as "super Protestants" You might call them Puritans, and Thomas` brothers who went to New England certainly were. If Thomas or his descendants became Catholics within a short space of time it must be a world record. I`ll keep an eye on the discussions, good luck in your quest,regards, Les.
