I have been letting my husband Steve use the computor, so I have not been doing as much research lately. I think he has finally gotten tired of it for awhile. I think Carolyn Redner is the one who knows about Mary Gibney. Isn't it exciting what we have found so far. I was looking through the 1870 census of Orange County, Monroe, page 7. Is this your family? John Gibney 40 teamster b. Ireland,
Bridget (not sure about spelling) 34 keeping house, b. Ireland, Laurance 10, Mary 8, Anna 6, James 5, Luke 4. I'm not sure that it fits the ages of the people you have mentioned and there is no Hannah, though she could have been born later. Also the ages on the census records are not always correct. Look forward to hearing from you.
