Hi Anne.Good to hear from you.Hope we can make a connection.Henry is a very used name in this family both for first and middle names. What is his full name, date of birth (dob), and wife's name?
His father and mother info too.My husband is Ronald Joseph Rehagen, his father was Edward John; his grdfather was John Rehagen dob 1-9-1895 (MO); his gr-grdfather was Frank Rehagen dob 8-2-1867 (MO); his gr-gr-grdfather was Joannus Jodouis Rehagen dob 1-15-1818 (Germany); his gr-gr-gr-grdfather was Franz George Rehagen dob unknown (Germany); his gr-gr-gr-gr-grdfather was Jodous (Jodocus) Arnold Rehagen. Now, we're not sure if Jodous and two of his brothers came to USA or if it was Franz George and two of his brothers.Still searching ship's passenger lists for that time period.
Anyway we know that 3 brothers, with wives and children came to USA to Port Orleans (New Orleans) up the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers from Westphalen Germany directly to Westphalia, Missouri (sister city).Westphalia had been settled by German immigrants from their home Westphalen. I'm still looking for the port of departure in Europe too. We also understand (from Ron's memory as a child) the original pronounciation is "Ray-haug-en".
Can't wait to hear from you with your dad's info.My e-m is......
